Aaftab Poonawala's Polygraph, Narco-analysis matches the same
There was no change in the statement during his polygraph and narco analysis test,” a Press Trust of India source said
New Delhi: The answers given by Aaftab Amin Poonawala, an accused in the Shraddha Walkar murder case, in his polygraph and narcotics tests and during police interrogation are the same, police sources said today.According to sources, Poonawal's confessions during the 14 days of his police custody are similar to the ones he answered to questions asked during his polygraph and narcotics test.
"He cooperated fully during the tests. He gave the same answers to the questions put to him by the police during interrogation. There was no change in his statement during his polygraph and narcotics test," a Press Trust of India source said.
He agreed to kill his girlfriend and also confessed to disposing of her body parts at various places in the forest areas of Delhi, the source added.
However, the police have not yet found the skull of Shraddha Walkar and are still searching for it along with other remaining body parts.
Police sources said they are now confident that what Poonawala confessed during interrogation and during the subsequent polygraph and narco analysis is the same. This will avoid any new twists and turns in the ongoing investigation.
Sources said the DNA report of Shraddha Walkar is expected by next week and since more than 13 bones have been found so far, the doctor will only compare the quantity and quality of specific bones to ascertain and confirm Shraddha Walkar's death. .
"We have enough evidence to prove that he killed his live-in partner. However, we are still waiting for digital traces and evidence that will play a vital role in the investigation," the sources said, adding that we have gathered more evidence in the case as the investigation was still ongoing.
However, the police did not release further details as it could jeopardize their investigation.
